    Leave it to the french fashion house of Balmain to take three everlasting and powerful beauties to grace their new campaign. Partnering with W Magazine, Balmain presents one of the most striking covers of the year.

    The cover itself is stunning, but W mag and Olivier Rousteing, the new head of Balmain take things up a notch inside the pages of the magazine. Snagging the powerhouses that are Rihanna, Naomi Campbell and Iman, W magazine creates an overpowering editorial.

    Olivier Rousteing proves without a doubt (pictured above), at 27, he is beyond brilliant as the new head designer and creative director of Balmain. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. Bring it Balmain!

    Unkle Karl strikes again!

    Taking Numero Magazine to new heights, Karl Lagerfeld went behind the lens and created 5 original ‘Mod’ magazine covers with ‘Pop Couture’.

    With a sixties psychedelic background, Karl Lagerfeld gives us ‘joie de vivre’ Parisian style, including fashions by;

    Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior, Armani Prive, Valentino and of course Chanel showcase a youthful and carefree side of couture – still elegant but completely in line with the way modern women dress.

    I don’t know about youthful and carefree as much as devastating, gorgeous and scintillating sexy.

    Bravissimo, Karl Lagerfeld! Your creativity knows no bounds. Check the other four masterpieces below.

    Giving to the people, from the people rarely exists these days. Half the charities out there are a tax shelter and the other one’s don’t get any love unless helmed by a celebrity.

    But wait! There is hope.

    There are those of us on this planet who live with our heart on our sleeve and actually acknowledge human suffering on this planet just….to help. We’re talking about the small donations and ‘random acts of kindness’, YOU bring into this world.

    That is why I stood up and became part of Lisa Reilly Photography’s AMAZING Survivor Campaign.

    Lisa, who I met at LAFW had originally approached me with this campaign asking me if I would be willing to help raise funds and awareness for Cancer Survivors and their families, who are unable to pay for treatment or are left with hundreds of thousands of bills.

    Check out Lisa’s IndieGoGo video for The Survivor Campaign!

    I was happy to help. I also joined this campaign, being a Cancer survivor myself.

    In 2013, I went for a routine check up and found out I had cervical cancer. I had to have surgery, which saved my life but left me with permanent complications and painful memories. However, they managed to cut the cells out of my body before they did major harm. I was a lucky one.

    As I worked on this campaign other began to help as well. Tracie May-Wagner, CEO of May-Wagner PR contacted me. She wanted to help. She brought her client, the amazing Victor Wilde of The Bohemian Society on board. He in turn donated two pieces of his SS 2014 collection. Proving to me that there is ALWAYS support.

    (Faith, Humanity, Restored)

    No one should have to stand alone in their battle against cancer. Emotional or physical.

    Shooting with Lisa underwater was extraordinary. It took everything I was doing this for and changed it.Not only was I helping others who have been through and going through pain, but I created something positive out of my Cancer experience. I never thought I could look back at this as more than a charitable session but it really changed how I look back at having had Cancer and is giving me a chance to empower others that have had it.

    Check out the video out of the amazing video of Amy W. & I shooting underwater and describing our experiences (Video by D’arby Rose) ;

    The women pictured in Lisa’s campaign have all fought and lived with Cancer. The women above have Stage 4 Aggressive cancer, survived a double mastectomy and cervical cancer. Going through chemotherapy and severe treatments that have costed them time, sanity, health and a small fortune.

    Donating to this campaign will help them continue their fight. We’re taking donations as low as $10 to help raise funds and have packages up to $5,000 for every size and income. Please help us reach our goal so Cancer victims stand a fighting chance.

    Growing up Joan Rivers was always there. On TV as a comedienne, on The Muppets with Miss Piggy and fighting the good fight with the Fashion Police. Never once did she not appreciate the funny things and people in life. Always stellar, a star and an inspiration Joan Rivers is indeed, the definition of Comedy itself.

    Sadly today we lost Joan Rivers at 81. Surrounded by friends and family she left us. Melissa Rivers her daughter released this statement;

    “It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers. She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.

    Cooper and I have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from around the world. They have been heard and appreciated.

    My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.” -Melissa Rivers

    We will truly miss you Joan. You were, and always will be an inspiration.

    Yes I have been missing and yes I am still in California suffering the wrath and indignity of NOT being at NYFW. Actually I am gearing up for LAFW because there is a lot I am involved in and have to stay West Coast bound.

    Since you, dear reader, aren’t there either but are most definitely craving the feel, insanity and sore feet,  I give you;

    Well almost.

    That above is a screenshot your fearless fashionista took of the LIVE Herve Leger show.

    What’s in store so far for SS 2015? White’s, brown’s, pinks/coral, neon with attention to metallic detailing. But I know how dead set everyone is on drawing their own style and details from the SS 2015 fashion season.

    Ready to start viewing? Don’t worry between show’s they re-broadcast the good stuff and highlight’s so you won’t get bored.
    Onward and forward darlings;

    Thank god for Style.com and their runway reporting. They report every collection, designer and runway worldwide and those of us in the industry would be lost without them. Especially when we are on the wrong side of the country during NYFW. But business is business and while I hustle and shake in LA (new products, events and interviews coming up) I still have my eye on Fashion Week’s around the world. You, my faithful reader’s, need to be in the know Otherwise there will be mayhem and fashionistas wandering the streets assuming Crocs, and the Kardashian’s are fashionable (gag).

    Let’s get started;

    This fashion week has been a bluster of basics and classic, romantic notions bring out baby pinks and icy blue to the runway. Chic silhouettes we saw with a touch of mad men, have turned to classic romantics and A-Line sporty outfits with a dash of sex.

    Flowing figures and classic summer sexy hit DVF, aka, Diane Von Furstenburg. Diane is a great go to for classy and clean career wear. I highly recommend if you want to look top-notch A list fabulous for a job interview or day time event investing. Her clothing is always perfection.

    DVF came through again on the SS 2015 runway. Relying on stripes and checked material adding length and volume created a work worthy collection with a little extra leg, and flare that came as a sexy surprise to her normally subdued dresses.

    DVFcheck with leg

    Angeline Jolie has inspired a leggy look recently in gown’s and I completely approve.

    Though many opted for orange this year DVF took to emerald bring and this stunning yellow on model Lais Ribeiro.

    Ending the show in true runway fashion, model Naomi Campbell finished the spring collection in this flurry of tulle boasting orange, bright pink and white in an empire waist-lined, babydoll dress.

    NaomiDVFWell played Dian Von Furstenbeg.

    Moving on to a personal favorite, Zac Posen. His collections always bring me back to embracing my sexy side and make me feel like a woman. His designs create a perfect figure on any woman and his use of textile is genius!

    We find that this Spring/Summer season Posen’s simple, classical, feminine beauty reigned free with minimalist black’s and white.

    Adding the intensity of crimson orange to his collection Posen pair’s it with tight angle’s that create a thin and tall female form. Beauty fanatics, note the orange nail polish and lipstick Posen chose to feature on his models for dramatic flair.

    ZacPosenOrangesuitAlekZac Posen continues to create the ideal of feminine grace in his collection by ending it with this beautiful gown fit for a queen in pure and simple white.

    Over at another NYFW favorit BCBG Max Azria chose a more floral and romantic feel with in his collection for Spring/Summer 2015. Fading from barely-there neutral pink to the palest of blues and back to pink again. BCBG Max Azria touched on an almost art nouveau feel with yards of flowing fabric.

    BCBGblancapdillaA dash of floral mixed pink’s and blue’s on Miho Mijaljcic create’s a perfect mix of elegant for this maxi dress.

    And back to baby blue…

    BCBGMijoMihaljcic bcbgTayaErmoshkinaBCBGStashaYatchukThis Spring maxi dresses have dominated the runway, leaving skin bare with a combination of sheer panels, deep V’s and off the shoulder or one shoulder pieces. Glowingly graceful is taking hold with career women boasting tight silhouette’s and deep slit’s in their skirt’s and suits.

    It’s all about adding a dash of sexy to your daily routine so if you thought of slacking on exercise this winter, fuggedaboutit. Skin is in, and we’re going girly.

    Time to start shopping for those skinny and sporty dresses and skirts for next season. Leave the pants at home and don’t forget to pair some gold greens, yellows, pink and my personal favorite ORANGE in with your shopping. If you aren’t sure how to do color try adding a hint to your nails, lip color or accessories.

    I’ll keep updating as we travel the runways around the world. Keep checking back for updates!

    Sarah Burton has taken the Haus of McQueen and made it a fully functioning palais de genius since McQueen’s unfortunate departure in 2002. Her sense of style, art and the dramatic have become a beautiful beast with a dash of feminine mystique.

    This season the Haus of McQueen has brought laser cut garments, with an Asian inspired flower design and detailing in leather. With a flourish of kimono like dresses and garments that are reminiscent of the early 40’s, Burton inserts her own twist of the modern with cut out breast petals and dashes of embroidery. Add unique latex mask’s in a stunning representation that is truly, wholly, McQueen wearable art.

    I’ve ditched all my vices these days in favor of becoming an adrenaline junkie. There is nothing more exhilarating in my life than being thrown into an extreme situation. I live for it. That’swhy when I get offered a 20 model fashion show, I can NEVER say no.

    When I was asked to help out with the amazing yearly Hollyrod Foundation Designcare 2015 event to tap a quality designer I said yes. In the past they have worked with fashion superstars such as Naem Khan and Emmauel Ungaro. Finding a fit in Los Angeles would be difficult but not impossible. I have great connections, and know even better designers. I tapped the stunningly talented Adolfo Sanchez and within 24 hours he and the amazing , Holly Peete Robinson and Hollyrod Foundation were working together.

    Backstage Army, Adolfo Sanchez and I

    Once you commit and find someone that is high caliber to a charity event this size things get out of control. First you get the designer, than you get tapped to help, than you are the Key Stylist for 20 models, in 20 looks with two personal assistants. The models were gorgeous, the dresses were beautiful, and made me remember why I got in this business 8+ years ago, and the cause was worth working for.

    Backstage was small but we managed to get all the girls in their dresses and looking stunning. All the headpieces, crowns, etc were provided by the lovely Fiori Couture. She makes the most magical fantasy pieces of couture you have ever seen.

    Model Natalie in Fiori Couture crown and corset.

    Chaz Dean Studio provided Hair and make up s our girls looked professionaly made over. Backstage was cramped but we managed to get everyone in their dresses, head dresses with matching accessories.

    We even had fresh flowers thanks to @VSanchezFlowers from Orange county.

    Believe it or not this hot mess turns into the most beautiful, and well coordinated show you have ever seen. This is what we managed.

    Overall this was a fantastic event to be part of. I got to be head/Key Stylist, had amazing assistants and co-workers .

    HUGE thanks to Traci May Wagner for taking over backstage, she is an OG industry professional who works around the world and I was lucky to have her.

    Marie Bargas and Drea Johnson for helping me. Dressing models in dresses with 15-foot trains is no joke.

    Hooray it’s summer! That means fabulous clothes, tons of sun and fabulous editorials. I was thing of something very ‘artistique’, but then I realized not all editorials need to be have to be mind blowing, sometimes you just want to have something simple, and gorgeous.

    With that I give a sexy, fun, frolicking editorial from are friends over at Wildfox.

    Known for their flirty, simple style Wildfox has always been a West Coast favorite. Their dresses in this editorial are light and flowery, their shirts make me want to wear them. In other words a wardrobe must have. They are my summer clothing staple, and I must have the entire collection. Excuse me while go shopping….

    Here’s Lauren de Graaf giving us full on Wildfox girl!

    I like to see diversity in fashion. More than anything, I like to see expressive artist/designers bringing  a little crazy. This months ‘Josephine’ editorial is just that. It’s it’s got a whole lotta va-va-voom and some serious, cha-cha.

    My favorite part? FIERCE COLOR!!! It’s summer and we all want to bring the color out of the closet, and get inspired. This vivid imagery and emotion made me feel THAT INTENSITY. I must say, this is the beginning of a love affair. A love affair with Vogue Brasil.

    What do we love? Chanel. Who else do we love? Glass Magazine. Why?

    Recently I have been making friends with the people over at Glass Magazine. By friends, I actually mean Facebook and Instagram friends. This of course will be remedied by me being awesome in their proximity and vice versa. Life goals people.

    I’m especially enjoying the work of the Stylist, who works with Glass regularly, Katie Felstead. She is genius and makes everything from modern, edginess too romantic styles look brilliant. You know I don’t give accolades to other Stylist’s unless they are balls out amazing.

    Back to this amazing editorial. Chanel is one of those amazing labels that every country understands. Say Chanel anywhere in the world (except maybe the deep amazon, though maybe there too) and it’s recognized as a brand with integrity, quality that costs big bucks.

    Glass Magazine produced a wonderful Chanel editorial shoot that’s soft, beautiful and sexy. Giving us the sense of a gentle and delicate Chanel woman.

    I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

    This Spring it’s all or nothing. A nod to the past has brought back defined shapes and a play on colors. Put away your floral’s and head to the stores to pick up your favorite look  with an 80’s flare. Shoulder pads are in and demure is out. These looks are soft but tough. Vintage, yet modern.

    Classy ladies wear pastels;

    At Tom Ford, Gigi Hadid and other supermodels, are wearing pretty pastel pink and yellow. The bold splash of color teases the eye but doesn’t dominate the outfit. Other favorites on the runway consisted of baby blue and a pale or mint green. This season has a sweet statement, with light beauty makeup, a classic closed toe heel, glitterati sparkle, finishing off the look with a splash of color.

    Mix and match with a dash of color yet not overpowering. Embrace the suit jacket and boxed shoulder. Skips the nudes and head for pastels. It’s an update, with a nod to the classics, and modern update.

    In the history of fashion the 1970s were all about nudes, browns, and stylistically very much about ruffles and loose clothing. In the mid 1980’s there was a huge backlash to the constant earth tones and relaxed style of clothing  and woman embraced striking color, square figures and streamlined looks. 1980’s inspired looks are full of bright colors, animal and cartoon prints, finding their niche on the runway and back into the fashion fold in 2018.

    Spring/Summer brings color back to the fashion market. This season’s statement is all about the bold and beautiful.  Often seen on the runways of Moschino, The Blonds and jewelry designer Lynn Ban, extreme color is no longer a closet trend.

    Seen on 2018’s Spring collection’s we are embracing the adventurous. Animal prints, crazy cartoons, hot pink and orange, electric blues, these have come back in a totally eclipsing way. It’s time to embrace the 80’s colors but instead of being over-sized, mixing and matching, keep your outfit a focused and fearless outline. Bust out your leopard, zebra and giraffe prints. The 80’s are roaring and it’s time you caught up.

    Having lived through the 80’s as a child, I missed this playful era of fashion. It means dusting off a dated era and adding an update that makes gives it a contemporary look. Looks that are simplistic, yet eye catching in their statement. Shoulder pads are making a comeback the right way this time, and print’s with color are inspiring and acceptable again. Streamlining your look makes it easy to find an outfit in your closet, no more messy mix and match. Floral’s and 90’s inspired grunge, have given way to much stronger use of colors, even in pastel.

    Color, no matter how you wear it is in, and the 1980’s style has a very strong foothold.
